Disney History: Upstream Plunge

This attraction featured a 330,000 gallon swimming pool and housed Slippery Slide Falls in its rock formation. Slippery Slide Falls started high above the rock formation, and sent you straight into Upstream Plunge. This Disney attraction was located in River Country, Walt Disney World's first water park, which is now a closed area.

Magic kingdoms Tomorrowland is no stranger to changes. One of those changes is the attraction The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. This attraction was an intense experience that was meant to scare and succeeded. Which brings us to today where Stitches Great escape now is now located. This attraction is based of the hit movie Lilo and Stitch, As you go through training with your captain to ensure experiment 626 is held in custody and destroyed, but that doesn't go down to well.

So in this yearly refurbishment of this incredibly popular Walt Disney World attraction. It brings the grand addition of lap bars. This addition has been coming for a while as a rumor has been going around for quite a while now. Tell me what you think about this new addition in the comments!

Tragic Death at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside

As a follow up to my last article a man died today after being hit by a Disney bus. Around nightfall today an elderly man was hit by a Disney bus. Paramedics brought the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was on vacation with his family at the Walt Disney World Resort. Thus a very tragic event at the happiest place on earth the day after Christmas.

Riverside accidents!

Today over at Disney worlds port orleans riverside has been quite a bad day! To start it off a major accident happened and employees are yet to find out the severity of the incident all that's known is the busses have been re routed in and out of the port Orleans resort since it occurred in the main bus loading area! The new thing at Disney parks

In Walt Disney World,Just like the rest of the world there fads. It seems as though Disney pin trading has lost a significant amount of interest. Thus bringing light to the next big thing vinylmation these figures come in many forms. There are key chains, 3"inch figures,and larger ones. The cool thing about these is you get that sense of excitement when opening each box! Cause outa several series and limited edition figures. You almos never know what the small box holds. Then there is that mystery figure but you never know what you have till you open the box. I have got many of these and they are definitely worth the $13.00 price. After all since when is there a piece of art for such a small price!

Can't Miss Attractions (Magic Kingdom Classics)

For those who love Disney World or if this is your first time going and your not sure what you want to do first. Read this article and I'll explain what's out there for you, in this post I will give you some can't miss attractions that are considered classics.

1. It's a Small World: This attraction is one you will have to see no matter what when you step into the Magic Kingdom. This ride features that ever so catchy song "It's a Small World" as it takes you on a boat ride through various settings found around the planet. Each section features dancing dolls that are dressed to the surroundings as well as animals that might inhabit that reason. This ride is a sure fire classic and can't be missed.

2. The Haunted Mansion: This ride really captures all the Disney magic. From the mind boggling special effects that make you wonder how they did that or if its even real. Another Disney special is the catchy song which in this attraction is "Grim Grinning Ghost." Almost all the ghost in this attraction are friendly looking and everything is displayed in a humorous way all will enjoy!

3. The Mountains: Whether you like wild adventures, out of this world experiences, or maybe just a good splash you cannot miss these amazing attractions. Thunder mountain railroad features a run away train that takes you through the canyon. Space mountain takes you a rocket as you sling around space, and Splash Mountain takes you through the brier patch with laughs and splashes. Unless coasters are not for you one bit you must hit these amazing attractions!

Beauty and the Beast Castle (UPDATED!)

In the new Fantasyland expansion Disney will be bringing many new incredible attractions to the Magic Kingdom park. But the Beauty and the Beast Castle is starting to sound extra extraordinary. it will have both a "dark ride" and a restaurant that is a 552 seat place! That will feature a casual quick service lunch and for dinner will transform the area into a style fit for a princess. This new addition to Magic Kingdom will also feature some smaller yet very important iconic elements from the movie.

Disney's Art Of Animation Resort

From what looks to be in my opinion, possibly the most awesome Disney hotel ever, Disney's Art Of Animation Resort. This Resort features four different themed sections all just as equally incredible as the other. Each one seems to be filled with that Disney magic, that seems to sometimes escape the Disney hotels. They are:

This fantastic hotel opens some time during 2012. This resort will be considered a "value" resort so it's prices will be around that of the All Star Resorts. Seems that the next to years will have a lot to come from Disney and they seem to be heading in a very good direction lets hope it stays this way!

A murder in the Disney's "Utopia"

So last week there was the first murder ever, in the Disney made community! This event took Disney by surprise. Also that same week a man killed himself. So I wonder what's going on in that community? Maybe some security is in need? After all the murderer was a homeless man and that could have been prevented easily. This just comes to show no one is perfect and there can never be a perfect society. Lets just hope Disney is clear for a very long time of these horrific events.

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh Looking better than ever!

Brilliant ideas, that bring to life stories and new ideas has always been a goal of the Disney imagineers. To bring you into the story as if you were in your favorite Disney tales. While using the most innovative up to date technology available to use. With this changes to classic rides and all that they hold are often necessary to wow all who visit the magical place. Recently a refurbishment or more like a refacing of the Winnie the Pooh ride has done just that. Before the outside of pooh seemed like all the other attractions in the fantasyland area but now it stands out like never before. Honey pots hold the waiting time, a huge tree which those who wish to explore can enter, and now the line brings you into a story book where you can interact with honey running down the pages. With this Disney seems to be heading in the right direction on improving all aspects of the magical world of Disney.

Tips and Tricks!! While at Walt Disney World

Following my recent post "Helping Disney stay the Happiest Place for all." I've decided to share some tips to help you discover everything in the Walt Disney World parks!!!

People often get angry when they get to the park later in the day, and all the Fast Passes are taken. Now this will happen so to avoid this get to the park early and get your Fast Passes right away!!! REMEMBER: You can only get ONE Fast Pass every couple of hours so make sure you get the one that'll save you the most time first!!
Another great way to avoid some lines is to get to the park around opening. By doing this you are most likely, going to be able to ride some of the more popular attractions, several times before the large crowds roll in.
During the day if you can't bare the crowds or simply want to get more out of your trip. Then go watch some of the incredible shows and parades Disney has to offer. In order to get your choice seat though you will most likely need to get there around 20-30 minutes early.
What makes Disney truly amazing is the hidden secrets that can be found everywhere in the parks! From Hidden Mickey's to Amazing hidden details. Usually DO NOT TOUCH is in effect everywhere but NOT at this park! So take it slow. Pull the rope on the other side of the rail, pick up a telephone, look under the mats you never know what you may find!!!
After a long day at the parks everyone is trying to get on the busses to get back to their resorts. This is ALWAYS going to happen if you wait till closing. So leave the park 30 min to an hour early if you don't want to wait.

Magic Kingdom Movie!!!

Everyone has seen Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. But they have only been based off a piece of the heart of Disney the Magic Kingdom. So an idea has sparked to make a movie that takes place in the Magic Kingdom. Rumors have circulated about the movie being like "Night at The Museum." Where everything in the park comes to life!! Imagine how spectacular that would be all your favorite characters coming to life! But then comes the villains who would also inhabit this wonderful place. With the place being the Magic Kingdom the worst of the worst will come alive. In my opinion this could be an amazing movie lets hope they make it!!! Comment what you think the movie may be about!!!

Bringing back the Disney Channel "Phineas and Ferb"

Phineas and Ferb is simply one of the best cartoons on television, and hands down the best on the Disney Channel. Recently the Disney Channel has lost touch with what Disney has always been. But at last they came up with Phineas and Ferb!! An animated series about two brothers who are on summer vacation, where each day is a new adventure. From the theme song you get an idea of what you are about to watch. This show is filled with the Disney imagination and that special touch of magic everyone knows and loves!!! If you haven't seen it yet, give it a watch cause "Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all."

Helping Disney stay the Happiest place for all

Anyone who has been to Disney knows their are mostly respectful and very pleasant people. Who help Disney keep and hold strong their motto "The Happiest Place on Earth." But then there are those who insist to do things that are rude, disrespectful, or just outrageous! Most of the time this behavior comes from angry tourist who are fired up about the long lines, crowds, etc. If these are things you hate, Disney probably isnt the place for you or you just came at the wrong time of year. One of the most outrageous things I have heard about, is this guy who attacked a Disney bus driver over not getting a seat on the bus. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to open in 2012

In 2012 a brand new Walt Disney World Resort is set to open!!! This hotel seems to capture the disney magic by putting you in the movie and a whole new world. The movies that the themes of the hotel will include are The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Disney·Pixar's Finding Nemo and Cars.

Have you ever wondered what the gravestone said way in the back? well soon the line will branch out and you will be able to see the famous graves a bit more closely!!!
The line is also expanding closer to the water along with some interactive items to make the line more enjoyable for both the living and the ghouls who enter the famed mansion.

Today I was on Club Penguin and found out that Rockhopper is on a different path this time. Instead of jumping from server to server every time. He spends awhile on one going from room to room. So if you can't get in a room go to the next one and wait! Chances are high he will show up.

This is an AMAZING firework display. With great music, dazzling fireworks. There is also incredible incredible effects done to the castle. The display is also a whopping 180 degrees!!!!!!

The magic kingdom is actually the second floor where the utilidoors down beneath you is at ground level.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the first full length feature film to be done in animation!
The paint on Mission Space cost a whopping $800 per gallon!
On top of Ellen's Universe of Energy ride at Epcot there are 80,000 solar cells which give the ride 15% of the power needed to run it.
If you look at just the right angle you can see The Twilight Tower of Terror from the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot.
Up in the top of Cinderella's castle there is a room people stay in call the Dream Suite but you have to very lucky to get a stay there!

Disney is hosting an event to celebrate the closing of Star Tours. Even though this ride is not leaving forever it is being re-done so it has a more modern appeal. Walt Disney World Ride Reviews (Magic Kingdom part 1)

Space mountain Is an exciting thrilling ride that has been only modified in the past the biggest thing to ever happen to the ride was when they replaced the track and changed the queue line.

This ride is relatively mild and in my opinion everyone can and should ride this attraction.

Splash mountain is a great ride to cool down and just to relax. This ride is often overlooked by those fearful of coasters but that is not at all the biggest part of the ride. Inside this marvelous ride their are animatronics and water shooting from place to place almost leaping. This is followed by the big drop but then you are welcomed back to the zipideedooda song that everyone knows and loves

This ride may not be for those especially scared of heights but they must realize they are missing out big time. Also this ride is 20% coaster and 80% dark ride.

Haunted Mansion Many little kids look at this beloved attraction as scary when it is really far from that. This ride takes a scary idea and makes it into a fun and humorous experience. As one of my all time favorite attractions in all of Disney World I would definitely say you cannot miss this amazing attraction. It’s filled with special effects and toward the end the song “Grim Grinning Ghost.”

MICKEY’S PHILLARMAGIC This attraction is amazing you put on your Opera glasses (3d Glasses) and magically all your favorite Disney characters come to life as you see them sing your favorite Disney songs. Such as “Part of your world, 'Be our guests, and “Just can’t wait to be king” and many more. This show features Donald duck, Goofy, Mickey, and many other characters. This is another can’t miss attraction. Also since the theater is so large for this attraction you rarely have to wait in line at all!!

It’s a Small World This attraction is and always will be a Disney classic. Featuring animatronics that come to life before your eyes and sing that song that everyone knows. The only bad thing about this ride is that you most likely will be singing this song after the ride is over!

Carousel of Progress This attraction was completely Walt Disney’s idea. His love for technology, inventions, and of course the future comes alive in this great show. Another cool thing about this show is that you move in a circle to see the parts of the show! The show follows the life of an American family from the past all the way to a not so distant future. This show is run by animatronics and is truly amazing. This ride usually has a small if any wait time and it is nice to relax and get off your feat and cool down. In my opinion this attraction has the most comfortable seats in all of Disney.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin This ride is very cool and is loved by everyone you start off by getting in your vehicle with your laser blaster. Then you enter several rooms full of targets that literally put you into an arcade game. In this attraction you shoot a variety of alien type creatures to defeat the evil emperor Zurg at the end. I highly recommend this ride because it is great for everybody.

Epcot will get an italian pizza place at last

Epcot's italy pavilion will be getting a pizza resteraunt. But this will be different than any other pizza resteraunt in all of disney! This resteraunt will have wood burning ovens and will be using water in their dough that is from a similar source that is used in pizza at napels, italy. So it seems like Disney is back and will be creating a one in a kind experience that is as close as you can get to the real thing!

Toy Story Mania (To Be Changed!)

The amazing 4D ride at Disney that has become a must for Disney fans and new comers alike is being changed! That's right this attraction is getting a huge update to include characters from the new Toy Story 3 movie. The update will change many aspects of the attraction such as "hamm and eggs" will become "hamm and buttercup" Buttercup is a brand new toy that will be in toy story 3. This character is a unicorn. In the final scene game Trixie, Buttercup, Dolly (a doll), Mr. Pricklepants (a lederhosen-clad hedgehog) will be joining woody and jesse! also the level of the ride featuring miss bo-peep will be replaced by "Rex and Trixie's Dino darts" this will feature Rex and his new friend as you shoot targets in a primeval scene. The Dino darts have already been added to the attraction. Looks like Disney is trying to get people pumped for toy story 3.

Then and Now...

Mr.toads wild ride was an opening attraction for the magic kingdom. The ride was based on the movies The wind in the Willows and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr.Toad. This attraction took place indoors and was a dark ride. After 27 years the ride closed in 1998. Which made way for The Many Adventures of Winne the Pooh which opened for the first time in 1999. This attraction is very popular and is the only ride in WDW that features Pooh and friends. In this ride it shows Mr.Toad giving the deed over to Mr. Owl. Winnie the Pooh is a better attraction for the Magic Kingdom because Pooh is known by everyone. Unlike Mr.Toad which is not a very popular Disney character.

Muppets

Disney has announced that they will be making a Muppets movie. Also Muppet vision 3D in Disney world closed yesterday to undergo a refurbishment. During this refurbishment they will be putting in a much needed digital projection system for the main video.

The Disney skyway

And now

The skyway is another Disney attraction that has been closed and is now there making those who once knew the ride wonder what is inside. Once a great view of magic kingdom this building now serves as a decoration. When this attraction was open it took you over magic kingdom and into tommorowland. It served as a way to cross the park and for its aerial view of the kingdom. For many we can only look at this rides shell but thanks to those at http://www.imagineeringdisney.com we can see the inside of this attraction. Much like Discovery island, Disney seems to have left the inside of this attraction untouched from its original glory. But we can now only wonder if Disney will one day turn this building into another attraction.

Recently I was looking at Disney related news and i came across an article about this guy who ventured out past Disney security and across the lake to Discovery island. This part of Disney I learned closed in 1999 because of bacteria they found in the water.
