Disney History: Upstream Plunge

Pana-Vue Slides from Disneyland and Walt Disney World pictures

This attraction featured a 330,000 gallon swimming pool and housed Slippery Slide Falls in its rock formation. Slippery Slide Falls started high above the rock formation, and sent you straight into Upstream Plunge. This Disney attraction was located in River Country, Walt Disney World's first water park, which is now a closed area.

  1. We enjoyed RC one time and loved it. Our next visit found it closed for what we thought was a refurb. Apparently not so. Miss RC!

  2. I spend many a day at River Country. Have many fond memories of my grandmas and cousins. So sad to see it now. Thanks for the awesome reminder of what it was. I so miss River Country and sad to know my boys cannot experience it.
